Harold had a keen sense of humor that will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Harold was a lifelong member of the Hebrew Orthodox Congregation in South Bend. He collected baseball cards, Mickey Mouse paraphernalia, Notre Dame football programs, and college and professional sports team pennants. Although Harold had COPD for more than 11 years, he used his great will and determination to continue leading an active life in spite of his illness.
