Joan R. (Nafe) Hill

PLYMOUTH - Joan R. “Granny” Hill, 82, passed away of congestive heart failure on Thursday, January 5, 2017, in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

Joan was born May 18, 1934, in South Bend, Indiana, to James E. and June E. (Fisher) Nafe. She graduated from Riley High School in 1952. She then attended the Indiana University School of Nursing.

On March 12, 1954, Joan married Paul M. Hill.

Granny is survived by her children: Linda Hill Walsh of Plymouth, Sue (Oran) Sliter of Plymouth, Patti (Jeff) Moss of Goshen, James J. Hill of Mishawaka, Thomas N. (Robin) Hill of Elkhart, and John P. Hill of Argos; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Judy Fisher of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Janice Webb, granddaughter, Martina Sapp, and brother-in-law, Harry Fisher.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2016, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7 p.m.
