Mishawaka-Thomas J. 'Tom' Velleman, 63, passed away on Monday, January 23 in Hospice House, South Bend.
Tom was born on February 18, 1948 in Mishawaka to Joseph and Mary (Chamberlin) Velleman. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Velleman of Mishawaka; daughter, Mary Ann (Scott) Myers of South Bend; son, Joe (Jennifer) Velleman of South Bend; grandson, Gavyn Velleman; sisters, Dianne (Paul) Rerick of South Bend, Linda (Andy) Knapp of Mishawaka, Vickie Whitten of Mishawaka; brothers, Mike (Kathy) Velleman of Greenville, NC and Stephen (Nancy) Velleman of Osceola; many nieces and nephews and Tom's former wife, Diane Daniels.
Tom was Director of Maintenance at St. Francis Convent in Mishawaka. He was a past president of the BK Club, a member of DiAmici's and the Eagles in Mishawaka. Also was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka.
Visitation for Tom will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 26 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, January 27 in St. Bavo Catholic Church with Rev. Dave Ruppert officiating. Cremation will take place following Mass.
