Jeffrey Reed Swanson

September 23, 1950 ~ January 15, 2018

Jeffrey R. Swanson, 67 of South Bend passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Hospice House, South Bend. He was born on September 23, 1950 in South Bend to the late John “jack” and Janet (Gowey) Swanson.

Jeff is survived by four nieces, one nephew and two sisters-in-law, Cindy Swanson and Katie Swanson. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, William and Michael Swanson.

Jeff graduated from Riley High School in 1969 and went to college earning a degree in education. He worked as an Art Teacher and also worked part-time at Ridge Auto Parts in South Bend.  He also enjoyed Umpiring local games. Jeff enjoyed being a coach for the girls basketball team at St. Jude Catholic School and he was a huge New York Yankees fan.

There will be no visitation or services, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions to Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, 23421 State Rd. 23, South Bend, IN 46614 for funeral expenses.The Hanley and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Service handled arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Swanson family.

Riley 1969 Jeffrey Swanson

Jeffrey was born on September 23, 1950 and passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018.

Jeffrey was a resident of South Bend, Indiana at the time of passing.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, William and Michael Swanson. Jeff graduated from Riley High School in 1969 and went to college earning a degree in education.

There will be no visitation or services, cremation has taken place.
