SOUTH BEND - Joseph Michael Sulok, 57, passed away at 3:20 am Friday, April 26, 2013, in Tanglewood Trace. Joseph was born on June 12, 1955, in South Bend, to Victor and Anita (Retek) Sulok. Joe worked for many years at the former Cira's Supermarket in South Bend, and later for the Ridge Company in South Bend. He retired in 2005. Joe was a graduate of Riley High School (Class of 1973) and attended IUSB.
Surviving are his mother Anita M. Sulok of South Bend; sisters, Mary Anne Morris of Ormond Beach, FL, Anita (Thomas) Baranowski of Colorado Springs, CO, and Nancy J. (Richard Feingold) Sulok of South Bend; brothers, Frederick C. (Judith) Sulok of South Bend and Victor P. (Melanie) Sulok of Granger, IN; and nieces and nephews, Dennis M. (Cathy) Morris, Teresa Morris, Thomas Baranowski, Tina Baranowski, Heather (John) Rudez, Megan (John Bronsteen) Sulok, Melissa (Ryan) Hamby and Corinne Sulok.
Per Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial of his ashes will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family to celebrate his life will take place today from 2-4 pm in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue.
