SOUTH BEND, IN - Sharon Kay McEndarfer, 75, of South Bend, IN passed away on December 19 at Memorial Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Sharon was born on June 5, 1943 in South Bend, IN to the late Louis E. and Helen S. (Smith) McEndarfer.

She is survived by two sisters, Judith A. Springman of North Liberty and Nancy L. McEndarfer of Fort Wayne; a niece, Susan L. Springman of Elkhart and a nephew, Eric B. Springman of North Liberty; a great-nephew, Cameron P. Springman of North Liberty; and a step-great-nephew, Shawn D. Masten of Plymouth.

She was a 1961 graduate of Riley High School and graduated as a Medical Secretary from Elkhart University. She worked at Associates Investment Co. in South Bend, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor for six years, Miles Labs of Elkhart, and retired from Indiana University, South Bend in 2004, after 34 years of service.

Sharon was a daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend, who touched the lives of many over the years. She especially enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, and traveling, including Europe. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in North Liberty during her life time, and was a member of Lutheran Church Women for many years. She was also a member of the Mayflower Club of St. Joseph County Extension Homemaker's Association for many years.

Sharon will be dearly missed by her loving family, church family, and numerous friends she made during her life's journey.

She was a wonderful, caring, thoughtful Christian lady.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” located at West Ireland Road/State Road 23, South Bend.

Funeral Services will be held at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 24955 Riley Road, North Liberty, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 27, with visitation at 10:00 A.M. in the church, prior to the service. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 24955 Riley Road, North Liberty, IN 46554, or to the charity of donor's choice.
