SOUTH BEND - Daniel Elliot Mauney, 32, of South Bend, IN passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at his friend's home. He was born on March 19, 1983 in Spartanburg, SC.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Barbara Duncan of South Bend, IN; grandmother, Mary R. Duncan of South Bend, IN; three brothers, Christopher Oliver of South Bend, IN, Bobby Mauney and Robin Mauney, both of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Alicia Gee of Spartanburg, SC; uncle, Gary Mauney of Spartanburg, SC; cousins, Amanda Bryant of Duncan, SC and Kim Timberling of MN and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Mauney; grandparents, Furman Mauney, Josie Mauney and Melvin Duncan.

Daniel was a graduate of Riley High School. He worked as a custom tile installer. He was a talented artist. He was an animal lover and enjoyed playing pool. Daniel was a devoted son and was loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
