Forest L. "Butch" Milbourn

SOUTH BEND - Forest L. "Butch" Milbourn, 72, residing in South Bend, IN, suddenly passed away at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010, in his home. He was born on June 28, 1938, in Mishawaka, IN, to Forest E. and Louella B. (Emboden) Milbourn, and had remained a lifelong resident.
On July 13, 1963, in South Bend, he married the former Susan L. Scott. Mr. Milbourn is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan L. Milbourn of South Bend, IN; daughter, Cindy S. Marino of South Bend, IN; five grandchildren, Traci Milbourn of Mishawaka, IN, Nichole Milbourn, Kaylee Milbourn, Daniel Marino and Nathan Marino, all of South Bend, IN.
His son, Scott Charles Milbourn, preceded him in death on June 24, 2009.
Mr. Milbourn was a graduate of Riley High School and of the Police Academy.
He retired as a police officer after 42 1/2 years with the South Bend Police Department. He was a member of F.O.P. Lodge #36 and the Table Tennis Association. He was a coach and umpire with Little League for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Graveside services will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2010, in the funeral home.
