SOUTH BEND - James F. Kramer, 93, Indianapolis, IN, passed away on September 8, 2009. James was born on January 26, 1916, in South Bend, IN, to the late George and Bertha Kramer. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree, he went on to work as purchasing manager for the Torrington Company. James was a life member of Zion UCC in South Bend and was a Theta Chi member at the University of Illinois at Urbana (Champagne).

He is survived by his beloved wife, Roberta; daughter, Linda Kramer of Pensacola, FL; step-children, Tom (Gloria) Boyden of Carmel, IN, Susan (Sky) Chen of Osceola, IN, and Sherri (Bill) Wolfe of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Freda (Richard) Brown of Burlington, WI, Alexandra Wolfe, Connie Frieburger, Tom Boyden Jr., Jonelle Riedel, Cara Lupa, Amy Riedel and Marc Riedel; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ann Kramer; son, George Kramer; and by a brother, John Shafer Kramer.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th, at 2:30 p.m. in St. Vincent Hospice, 8450 N. Payne Road, Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements: A.R.N. Cremation Services. Online condolences: www.arncremation.com.
