Michael Garbacz

SOUTH BEND - Michael Garbacz, 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, in Hospice House, South Bend. Michael was born on November 10, 1919, in South Bend, to the late Nicholas and Anna (Skinger) Garbacz. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann George, and two brothers, John and Alex.

On January 13, 1943, in South Bend, he married the former Georgina Faini. Surviving are his loving wife, Georgina; children, Michael (Darci) of Jupiter, FL, Gail Kroll of South Bend and Greg Garbacz of South Bend; three grandchildren, Kelly (Evan) Blatt, Stacey (John) Villimizar and Kristi Garbacz; and a brother, Nichalos (Millie) Garbacz of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Mike was a golf pro for 22 years at Elbel and five years at Robin Hood golf courses. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps.
