Estella Lynch (Duffy) Heick

MISHAWAKA - Estella Lynch Heick, 92, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Tanglewood Trace in Mishawaka.

Estella was born on March 15, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN.

Her family is grateful for the loving and compassion offered by the dedicated staff of Grace Hospice.

She graduated from Riley High School in South Bend in 1944. And lived in South Bend and Mishawaka and spent her summers in Bangor, Michigan in her younger years.

Estella was a member of First United Methodist Church in South Bend.

She married her loving husband, Robert in Long Beach, California on March 17, 1945. Robert joined the Navy June 6, 1940 and was a Pearl Harbor survivor; Robert passed away on July 30, 2007.

Robert and Stella loved traveling every year to all the Navy reunions.

Surviving family includes her children, Robert Jr. (Merri) of Granger, Scott W. (Sally) of Mishawaka, and Kevin of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Jenni (Greg) Wilson, Kelly (Jodi) Dehner and Christopher (Missy) Heick; two great grandchildren, Colton and Avery Dehner; her loving cousin, Howard (Jan, Andrew, Megan) Lynch of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Robert and Estella have many friends that have been there always. But our family wants to acknowledge two very close and living friends, Pat and Sue Cahill (Bill and Katie) of South Bend. They have always been there for our parents. Thank you.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 27 at 1 p.m. with visitation two hours prior, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Inurnment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawka.
