Helen (Pasalich) Rozow

SOUTH BEND — Helen Rozow, 89, of Covington, KY, formerly of South Bend, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood, KY. Helen was born on March 29, 1922, in DeKalb, IL, to Michael and Julia (Jogo) Pasalich. On May 5, 1940, in South Bend, she married Michael Rozow Sr., who died on December 12, 1993. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents, and by a sister, Lillian Medich.
Surviving are a son, Michael (Patricia) Rozow Jr. of Covington, KY; two grandchildren, Sara E. Rozow of Toledo, OH, and Michael N. Rozow of Richmond, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
The Pasalich and Rozow families were some of the early members of the Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church of South Bend.Helen was a longtime resident of South Bend, who moved to Covington, KY, following the death of her husband.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in Sts.Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.Family and friends may call from 11:30 a.m.to 1:00 p.m.in the church.Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, is handling the arrangements.
