Amy L. Ewing, 63, of South Bend, passed away at 2:20am on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in her home.
Amy was born on October 17, 1960, in South Bend, to the late Carl Ewing and Jean (Reed) Rybacki. Amy was also preceded in death by a brother, Joel Ewing.
Amy is survived by her son, Collin Ewing; brothers, Paul (Lizbeth) Ewing, Chris Ewing, and Raymond (Kimberly)Ewing; sisters, Kimberly (Jim) Thompson, and Tiffany (Daniel) Hotchin; many grandchildren; nieces, and nephews. Parker Thompson, Jr., Emily Thompson, Scott Ewing, and Carie Ewing; great-nephews, Scottie Ewing, and Andrew Ewing; great-great-niece and nephew, Kensli, and Cory. Many thanks to her Special Friends Santos his family, Lisa, and Tina. And to the Center for Hospice Care. Amy graduated from Riley High School. While working various jobs and raising her son, she earned three college degrees. She worked in Retail Management and remodeling. Her favorite memories included family vacations at Diamond Lake. She enjoyed looking through old family pictures and baking with her Grandma`s recipes. Amy was very proud of her Grandchildren, and kept up with them, as well as her church family from Christ Temple Apostolic. She was an avid Notre Dame fan and often volunteered at Notre Dame Concessions for charity. In her later years she enjoyed socializing with her Church family. Her proudest moment was on October17,2021 when she was baptized. There will be no services at this time. A memorial is planned for a later date.
