History & Memories of Michiana Roberta Crawford. Larry Karaszewski was born in South Bend on November 20, 1961. From a young age, he was interested in filmmaking and directing. Before graduating from Riley High School, he did a stint on the weekly Beyond Our Control TV show, as a filmmaker and writer. After graduating, he went on to USC for further study. This is where he met Scott Alexander, who became his screenwriting partner. Karaszewski has went on to win several awards. Including two prime time Emmys for American Crime Story. He is also serving as Governor for the Writers Branch of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. His works include, Man on the Moon, Ed Wood, American Crime Story, and The People vs. Larry Flynt are his most famous. He married his college sweetheart, Emily, and they have two children.
