Jodi Lee (Green) Smith
August 16, 1964 ~ June 21, 2021
Jodi, age 57 passed away comfortably in the care of Banner Boswell Hospice on June 21, 2021 after losing her battle to cancer. Jodi was born in South Bend, Indiana on 8/16/64 and last resided in Sun City, Arizona. She was adopted by her two loving dedicated parents Robert Green and Geraldine (Decker) Green.
Jodi was a lover of music, art, fashion, cooking, and animals, specifically dogs (like her companion Shee-Shee). Jodi academically excelled whether it was as Stanley Clarke elementary school or Riley High School or business school at IU or a stint at a Texas University for fashion design.
Jodi worked many jobs most recently finding joy bathing, grooming and caring for her furry friends. Growing up she was compassionate and protective as well as defensive to her ideals of fairness.
Jodi grew up with dreams of becoming a mother and having a family of her own. She had married and had three children whom she took great pride in and ultimately divorced and remarried and ended her life divorced. Jodi is survived by her three sons Kyle Messick (Blanca), Blaine Messick, and Travis Messick, and her grandson Daine Messick, as well as her mother Geraldine (Decker) Green and three siblings John Green, James Green (Lacy), and Jill (Green) Crowley.
A private memorial ceremony will be held in her remembrance on Saturday July 24th. Eulogy to be conducted by her son Blaine Messick.
