Montell Robert O'Neal 24, of South Bend, Indiana departed this life on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was born on February 27, 1997, to Jenny Lesher and Maurice Cathey in South Bend, Indiana; Montell, Maurell, and Myron were adopted by Eveline O'Neal, in 2000.
Montell attended elementary school at Forest G. Hay and high school at John Adams and James Whitcomb Riley where he played football and wrestling. He had a passion for wrestling, music, and cars. His biggest joy in life was taking care of his children and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers: Ron Lesher and Isaiah Cathey; his grandmother, Thelma Cathey; his father, Julius O'Neal Jr.; his father, Maurice Maurell Cathey; and his brother, Julius O'Neal III all of South Bend, Indiana.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother: Eveline O'Neal; his mother, Jenny Lynn Lesher; one daughter, Khaloni Reign Trotter (O'Neal); two sons: Demaria Damond O'Neal and Montell Robert O'Neal Jr.; his fiance', Jennifer Reyes, all of South Bend, Indiana; his grandmother, Barbara Snyder; four sisters: Brenda O'Neal, Janice Kimbrough, Katrina Snedaker of South Bend, Indiana; and Andrea Paskell of McDonough, Georgia; six brothers: Darnell (Mary) O'Neal, Maurell M. O'Neal (twin), Myron M. O'Neal, Maurice Cathey, Ken DeSmet, and James Cook all of South Bend, Indiana; two special cousins: Mathew O'Neal and Travion Swoaks of South Bend, Indiana; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
