Barbara (Bickel) Bare

WAUKESHA, WI - Barbara L. Bare, of Waukesha, died on October 2, 2009 at her home at the age of 94. She was born on May 14, 1915 in Bridgeport, CT to August and Charlotte (nee: Kaiser) Bickel.
On September 19, 1937 she married Clarence E. Bare and they shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. Barb lived most of her life in Indiana, and moved to the Waukesha area in 1998 in order to be closer to her children. After studying one year at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Library Science from St. Mary's College in South Bend, IN. She was a 50-year member of St. Joseph Valley Order of Eastern Star.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Richard (Judie) Bare of Lake Geneva, Dr. B. Bruce (Bonnie) Bare of Seattle, WA, Kenneth (Sharon) Bare of East Troy and Christine L. (Theodore) Shank of Ofallon, MO. She is further survived by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence on April 1, 1987. The funeral service for Barb will be held on Sunday, October 4, at 1:30 pm followed by the visitation from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. Rev. Don Clarke will preside. A second visitation will take place on Monday, October 5 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN. Entombment will follow.
