MISHAWAKA - Mrs. Blanche Esther (Goldner) Rosenberg, 96, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully at Hospice House in South Bend. Mrs. Rosenberg was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 6, 1915 to the late Isadora and Rose (From) Goldner.

She was a 1932 graduate of Riley High School.

She married Harry M. Rosenberg on May 9, 1936. He passed away on February 25, 1993. She and her husband co-founded Michiana Wholesale, Inc. and she worked there full time until 1965 and part time until around 1975. She was a member of Sinai Synagogue and served many other organizations over the years.

Blanche is survived by a son Irving M. (Ina) Rosenberg of South Bend; a daughter Elaine T. (the late Max) Koenig of Naples, FL; five grandchildren: David (Kim) Koenig of Indianapolis, Kate (Alan) Kaplan of Charlotte, NC, Steven Rosenberg of Chicago, Michael (Lisa) Rosenberg of Granger and Jonathan (Kristen) Rosenberg of Katy, TX. Also surviving are nine great grandchildren: Jared and Adam Koenig, Josh and Kayla Kaplan, Seth, Ian and Harrison Rosenberg, Jacob and Arielle Rosenberg.

Blanche was predeceased by all her siblings: Molly Hodgetts, Sarah Pomeranz and Joseph Goldner.

Funeral services will be TODAY at Noon in the Chapel of the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka, Rabbi Michael Friedland officiating. The family wishes to thank Dr. Shaya Mokfi, Hospice and Tina Kloski for the loving care they gave to Blanche. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be given to: The Senior Fund at the Jewish Federation, Sinai Synagogue or to the Center for Hospice Care.
