Violet M. (Harry) Geer

Violet M. Geer, 84, of County Road 358, Decatur, Mich., passed away on Friday, March 27, in the Zephyr Haven Health Care Facility, Zephyrhills, Fla. Violet was born on Sept. 22, 1913, in Muncie, Ind., the daughter of Orva and Bertha (Tamsett) Harry. She was formerly employed as an L.P.N. for St. Joseph Hospital of Mishawaka, Ind., for several years.
She married Rex M. Geer in September 1963, in South Bend, Ind., and he survives. She Is also survived by two daughters, Shirley (Jerry) Day of Columbus, Ind., Ruth (Charles) Baker of Louisville, Ky.; a son, Paul (Ginger) Joseph of South Bend; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and by a brother, Warren Harry of Summerfield, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the Newell Funeral Home, Decatur, with Pastor Jerry Day officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Cemetery, Decatur. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to the Decatur Bible Church where she was a member.
