Edwin Thornton Umbaugh Jr.

Edwin T. UMBAUGH Jr., 79, Rochester, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday at Life Care Center, Rochester. Born In Argos to Edwin T. and Weltha Mae ALEXANDER UMBAUGH Sr., he married Mabel L. GORDON on August 28, 1938 in Peru. She survives. He came to Rochester one and one half years ago from South Bend where he was an accountant for Bendix Corporation until retiring in June, 1974. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, South Bend.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, Charles G. UMBAUGH, South Bend, Raymond L. UMBAUGH, Valparaiso: five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Wayne and wife Audrey UMBAUGH, Easley, S.C. and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Barbara K. KELLEY Jan. 2, 1997, two sisters Dorothy POZNANASKI and
Willadean WEBER, and one brother Maurice [UMBAUGH].

No services are scheduled and interment will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, is in charge of arrangements.
