Catherine M. "Sally" (Galloway) Sterzik

OSCEOLA - Catherine M. "Sally" Sterzik, 88, residing in Osceola, IN, passed away at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, in her home. She was born March 22, 1922, in South Bend, the only child of Willis and Hazel (Beagles) Galloway, and had remained a lifelong resident of South Bend.
She was a graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School.
On February 14, 1946, following the war, she was united in marriage to Robert Sterzik. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage until his passing on September 3, 2001.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John O. and Candy Sterzik of Osceola; three grandchildren, Timothy (Joann) Sterzik of Deerfield, IL, Todd (Kim) Sterzik of Mishawaka and Jaimie (Andy) Burks of Mishawaka. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Brady, Jack and Sean Sterzik, and Maya Catherine Burks.
Private services will be held Wednesday, November 10th, at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Private visitation will take place in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend.
