Thomas H. Samuels May 29 1956 March 8, 2003 Thomas Hunter Sarnuels. 46, residing in Mishawaka, Ind.. passed away at 8:48 am. Saturday. March 8. in Hospice House following a long and courageous battle with leukemia. He was born May 29, 1956 in South Bend IN.. as the son of Francis and Mary (Colpitts) Samuels and has been a lifelong resident of this community. having also wed in Edwardsburg. for several years.

He was a 1976 graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School. and formerly was employed WM United Fixture of Niles, and served as a machine operator for Slone Container Corp.. Mishawaka. for more than twenty years.

Tom is survived by his son, Dustin Samuels of Niles. Mich.: two stepsons, Jeremy Dillvou of Lansing, Mich.; and Ryan Dillvou of Niles: and by his mother, Mary E. Samuels, of South Bend. He is also survived by a sister. Lori S. (Christopher) SobieraIski of South Bend; three brothers: Richard C. (Chris) Samuels of Granger. Robert G. (Carol) Samuels of South Bend; and John F. Samuels, of Elkhart,; and by eight nephews. four nieces, four great nephews. and three great nieces. 

Tom was preceded in death by a nephew. Robert G. Samuels II on October 6, 1978, and his father, Francis Samuels on August 1, 1997.

Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing  end traveling. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Larry Baker, Pastor of First Brethren Church will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today, March 10. in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel. Memorial contributions in memory of Thomas H. Samuels may be offered to the family c/o Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel.
