Charlene Kay Stryker (Jors)

Charlene Kay (Stryker) Jors

November 16, 1946 ~ August 29, 2025

Charlene Kay Jors (Stryker), age 78, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Friday, August 29th, 2025. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her life was full of love, laughter, and countless moments that made this world brighter.

She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Jors (60, of Mishawaka, IN) - brother Howard Stryker Jr. (73, of Cross Plains, IN) - her children Todd (& Cindi) Hooton (56, of South Bend, IN), Jeremy (& Shannon) Barrett (48, of Mesa, AZ), Courtney (& Ronald) Pendergrass (39, of Mishawaka, IN), and Shelby (& Anthony) Krueger (38, of Mishawaka, IN) - along with her beloved grandchildren Camron, Aiden, & Brady Hooton - Gavin, Gage, Gunner & Raegan Barrett - Zachary Pendergrass - and Elizabeth & Devin Krueger. She also leaves behind many dear friends who were blessed by her presence. She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Howard Sr. and Betty Stryker, who preceded her in death.

She was first and foremost a devoted mom, a supportive wife, a loving sister, and a very proud grandma (or "Biya" as they affectionately called her), and she poured her heart into every role she held. She was their steady hand, their safe place, and the one who loved them through every season of their lives. She had a rare gift for making others feel truly seen, valued, and cared for - whether through her quick wit, her generous spirit, or the simple way she could light up a room with her smile and laughter. Her life was a beautiful testament to kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.

A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Thursday, September 4th, 2025 at Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb chapel on Main St. in Mishawaka, IN from 3:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring the love, laughter, and light she shared with the world.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to help with funeral expenses; a GoFundMe has been set up to support the family during this difficult time. Your support during this time means more than words can say.
