Kathryn Janell (Badgley) Hastings, 86, of Rolling Prairie, IN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
She was born on March 04, 1939, in South Bend, IN, to Sally and Donald Badgley. She was a 1957 graduate of Riley High School. On May 09, 1959, she married her long-time sweetheart, David Hastings.
Kathryn retired from Beacon Medical Group (former I Street Clinic) after 27 years. She spent her free time doing what she loved--league bowling, crocheting and making lap blankets for the NewDay Foundation of La Porte, camping, reading, watching British mysteries, and going to the casinos. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Kathryn is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Roger) Gostnell, Lori Hastings, and Debra (Jeff) Keldsen; grandchildren, Kenneth Wolford, Kristopher Wolford, Abagayle (Anthony) McKinney, Samuel Keldsen, and Savanah Keldsen; and great-granddaughters, Audrina McKinney, Leilani Mendez, and Ariya Duron.
Cremation has taken place at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A private service, for immediate family only, will take place at a later date.
