DRIGGS, Robert Dana Jr. of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away at home on May 3, 2024, his 90th birthday. Bob was born at home in South Bend, Indiana on May 3, 1934, to Robert Dana Sr. and Kathryn Strang Driggs.

Bob married his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Marie Olmstead. He graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School, earning many letters for football, basketball, and baseball. He came home to Florida from his service in Germany and began his sales career with Quaker Oats, that took him around the Midwest as he was promoted, ending in Chicago as Division President of a food brokerage company. He retired at 60, and moved back to Florida to enjoy his passion of playing golf.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Jeanne; daughters, Dianne and Jackie; grandchildren, Robert (Vickie), Christopher (Barbi), Jessica, Kailey, and Jacob (Sabrina); great-grandsons, Sterling and Reynold; and his sister, Jill.

A special thanks to the Seminole Fire Department #29 for all the help and kindness shown to him during the last few years, and Hospice for their compassion and help during his last few weeks.

A military service will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery on June 25, 2024, at 2:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held after the service at the American Legion on Madeira Beach.
