SOUTH BEND - Elsie (Johs) Wonisch, 83, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 9:30 PM Wednesday, March 30th at Millers Merry Manor in Walkerton, IN. She was born on November 4, 1927 in South Bend, IN to John Johs and Theresa K. Kuzmits.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was a brother, John J. in 1947.

On April 12, 1947 in South Bend, IN she married William Wanisch who passed away on October 15, 2004. Surviving are three daughters, Kathy Wonisch of South Bend, IN, Kristine (David) Frick of Canton, OH, Julie Ann Wonisch of Mishawaka, IN; and a son, William (Julie) Wonisch of Mishawaka, IN. Three grandchildren, Erin Frick MD. of Orlando, FL, Alex and Hannah Wonisch both of Mishawaka, IN.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at 10 AM in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:15 AM until 9:45 AM in the Zahoran Funeral Home 1826 South Kemble Avenue. Elsie was a member of the German Club Auxiliary and Altar Society of the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Church or Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 112 South Center Street in Plymouth, IN.
