ORANGE PARK, FL — Liston “Les” Rasmussen, 80, born Nov.27, 1926, in Chicago, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2007, in his residence, Moosehaven, Orange Park, FL. He was born on November 27, 1926 in Chicago, IL to John and Ruby Rasmussen and lived to the age of 80.

He enlisted in the US Army and served in Korea. He worked many years as a Salesman and an Insurance Agent.

Les became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose when he joined Elkart, IN Lodge #599 on November 11, 1965. He became very active, joined the Legion, sponsored over 25 members and earned the Fellowship Degree.

He came to Moosehaven on October 8, 1997 along with his wife, Vi who preceded him in death on November 16, 2002. He resided at Moosehaven for almost 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Avis Rasmussen, also a resident of Moosehaven, one brother, John Rasmussen, daughter, Carla and her husband, Steve Hartz, three sons, John, Michael and Robert (Cindy) Rasmussen, step daughter, Kathy Bush, step son, Craig Lehman, also 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 2:00 P.M in the Moosehaven Chapel, Orange Park Florida. Services were conducted by Rev.
