Velma Rose (Grubbs) Quinton

Velma Rose “Babe” Grubbs Quinton, 93, of 1302 Arrowhead Trail, Edenton, NC,
passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center.

Mrs. Quinton was born on September 17, 1924, and was the daughter of the late
Leonard and Beulah Schafer Grubbs. A homemaker, she was a member of Faith
Pentecostal Holiness Church, and Women’s Aglow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Charles
Perkins.

Surviving are her husband Donzel B. “Don” Quinton of Muncie, Indiana; two
daughters, Sandra Kaye Perkins of Lexington, and Sherry Raye Bolt and husband
Michael, of Whittier; a sister, Inez Frear of Ottawa, Kansas; three grandchildren,
Ceri Bolt, Stephanie Farrington, and Brad Perkins; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23rd, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of
Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted
by her pastor, The Rev. Danny Gurganus. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
Friends may join the family in the funeral home the hour prior to services
