Vivian Fredonna Neff
Vivian Fredonna Neff, 92, of Mishawaka, IN passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Hospice House. Vivian was born July 4, 1924 in South Bend, IN to the late William and Theodora (Ball) Neff.
Vivian is survived by her nieces and nephews, Rebecca (Terry) Boersema of South Bend, Roger Neff of Mishawaka, William (Ruth) Neff of Osceola, IN, Jennifer Gingerich of Mishawka, Phillip Dally of California and Karen (Greg) Duncan also of California; six great nieces; and four great-great nieces. Vivian was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Roe and her brother, Byron Neff.
Vivian was employed for 37 years by Indiana Bell as a telephone operator. She, along with her church sponsored numerous refugee families, she also helped the Women’s Homeless Shelter and brought communion to the home bound. She was an Elder in her church and a proud member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services for Vivian will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel; 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery following the service.
