BODY OF SOLDIER BEING RETURNED HERE FOR RITES The body of James H. Wolfe, and Mrs. James East Irvington avenue, who was killed in action in France. July 26, 1944, arrived in New York aboard the army transport, Eric G. Gibson Wednesday and will be brought to South Bend soon for reinterment.
The body of Private Wolfe has U.S. army Pfc. jr, son of Mr. H. Wolfe, 314 JAMES H. WOLFE. been interred in the La Cambe temporary military cemetery in France.
Born in South Bend Feb. 8, 1924, he was a graduate of Riley High school and served with the infantry in England and France.
