Larry Allen Bush, 74, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on August 25, 2025. He was born on August 23, 1951 in South Bend, IN to the late Jack and Evelyn (Graczyk) Bush.
Larry married Dorett "Dorie” Decraene on September 10, 2005. She survives. Together, they found joy and tranquility on countless fishing trips across various states, creating memories that are now treasured legacies. The old pontoon on the river was the setting for many of these beautiful moments, deeply embedded in the hearts of all who accompanied them.
Larry’s spirit will continue to live on through his beloved sister, Jackie Raybuck of South Bend, IN, his treasured aunt Christine Daugherty, and his admiring nieces, Amanda (Joshua) Whitaker of South Bend, IN, and Melissa Raybuck of Durham, NC. He was a proud grandfather to Keaton and Parker Risner of South Bend, IN, whose lives he enriched with his wisdom and playful spirit.
His professional life was spent dedicated to helping others achieve their dreams through a successful 30-year career in mortgage lending. Larry's commitment to service did not end there; as a proud Army veteran, he continued to serve his countrymen as an active member of the American Legion Post 284, where his camaraderie and dedication will be profoundly missed.
Per Larry’s wishes, there will be no services. Palmer Funeral Home ~ Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
