Cowan of Platte City, Missouri, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Cowan and Ruth Cowan (Switzer); and his siblings, Michael G. Cowan and Janet R. Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Kathy (McDaniel); his children, Jennifer Hill (Bill) of Hatfield, MO, Brian Cowan (Kelly) of Kansas City, MO and Steven Cowan of California; his pet Dexter; and his grandchildren, Chase, Kadyn, Braydon, Aaliyah, Haley, Carley, Keaton and McKenna.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Chapel or NorthCare Hospice House in Mark Cowan's memory.
