Barry Dreibelbeis Obituary

Barry A. Dreibelbeis, 77, of South Bend passed away on Tuesday July 15, 2025, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend with his loving family at his side.

Barry was born on May 5, 1948, in South Bend to the late Allen and Miriam (McConnell) Dreibelbeis.

On March 11, 1972, he married Virginia Greenwood, sharing 49 years of marriage before her passing in 2021.

Barry served his country in the United States Army.   He worked as a machinist for many years.

Barry is survived by his daughters who were his pride and joy; Kellie (Cecil) Porman of Elkhart, IN, Kimberly (Jonathan Carmona) Dreibelbeis of South Bend and Karen (Kyle) Hall of South Bend. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Breanna Dreibelbeis, Austin Porman, Andrew Montgomery, Zachery Dreibelbeis, Haley Porman, Kaleb Hall, MacKenzie Dreibelbeis, and Khloe Hall. Ten great-grandchildren also survive along with his brothers, Larry (Barb) Dreibelbeis and Gary Wayne (Sandra) Dreibelbeis.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia, and his brother, Rodney Sipe.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held at 1pm on Saturday July 26, 2025, at the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan St. Lakeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
