Lucy Carolyn Pickle (Corner)

Lucy Carolyn (Pickle) Corner

March 20, 1947    ~    July 24, 2024

Carol Corner, age 77, of Tomball, passed away peacefully on July 24th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee on March 20th, 1947 to Will Ed and Bernice Pickle. She attended and graduated from Riley High School in just three years in 1964 while simultaneously attending the Vogue International Academy that same year. It was during high school where she met the love of her life Greg Corner; she even graduated early so the two could get married. Together they had three wonderful children where they raised them in Houston, Texas. Their inspiring and beautiful love story lasted fifty nine and a half years on Earth, but eternal in spirit.

Carol’s passion was doing hair. When she was young she got in trouble by cutting her sister Sue and Cousin Clayton’s hair. She thought it looked great, but her daddy sure was mad when she cut Sue’s hair to look like a boy. She became one of the greatest hair dressers owning two very successful hair salons and traveling the country to perform hair shows.

While she loved doing hair more than anything and helping others with her selfless heart, her true passion was for her family and loved ones. Her biggest life blessings called her Mommom, her most cherished title and yet another area in life she truly excelled in. A life motto she lived by was, “spoil your children, but ridiculously spoil your grandchildren…” and boy did she spoil them rotten. While materialistically they were spoiled, the love she showered with them unconditionally was the greatest spoiling of them all. One of her favorite adventures in life was bringing her grandkids on many family vacations where the most beautiful memories were made. She enjoyed time by the pool, going on walks around the resort, sharing old stories about the family and laughing so hard your stomach would ache, and most of all spending uninterrupted time with her loved ones. Carol was her grandkids number one fan and would never miss an opportunity to tell anyone who would listen about her grandkids. They were her true joy in life. She will be missed beyond what words could ever explain, so we thank God her love was more than enough to last a life time.

Carol is survived by her loving husband Greg Corner. Her sons Greg and Shane Corner (Lissa), her daughter Kim Glazier (Tommy), her grandchildren Thomas, Robby, and Amanda Glazier, Cassandra, Carsen, and Betty Corner, Demi Nuggent (Jake) Her great grandchildren Stacey and Paisley Nuggent, her sister Sue Emery and brother Pug Pickle. She is also survived by numerous additional relatives and friends.

Our Angel here on Earth has earned the ultimate reward and gained her angel wings and is now flying high and in peace.
