Susan Jo Floran, 79, passed away on June 10, 2024, in her hometown of South Bend, IN, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories. She entered this world on October 9, 1944, also in South Bend, as the beloved daughter of Milton and MaryAnn (Reifsteck) Barnfield and grew up alongside her dear sister, Carole Scheibe, who preceded her in death.
A proud graduate of Riley High School, Susan carried the spirit of her youth throughout her life and furthered her education at Purdue University. Susan always liked to be involved with whatever activities were around her. She celebrated to the extreme and loved decorating for the holidays and parties. Susan was a wonderful gardener and enjoyed walking the malls in her free time.
Beyond her professional life, Susan was the heart of her family, known for her boundless love, infectious laughter, and immeasurable kindness. Though her parents and sister have gone before her, Susan's legacy of warmth and generosity continues to live on within those who were fortunate enough to know her.
