JAMES E. SNODGRASS, 61, Indianapolis, died Aug. 9. He was a police officer 28 years for the Indianapolis Police Department. He also worked part time as a security guard several years at Market Square Arena.

He had been named Employee of the Year for the Indiana Pacers and Market Square Arena. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 86.

Services: 10 a.m. Aug. 13 in Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel, with calling 3 to 8 p.m. Aug. 12. Burial: Floral Park Cemetery West.

Survivors: wife Virginia Campbell Snodgrass; sons Jeffry, John, Jay Snodgrass; brothers Harold, Donald Snodgrass; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren
