Jerry Wesley Chapman

Jerry Wesley Chapman passed away March 19, 2024 in Allen, Texas at the age of 81. He was born to Carroll and Violet (Klingerman) Chapman on January 13, 1943 in South Bend, Indiana.

Jerry graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science. On March 29, 1969 he married Marylinn Kaylor in Niles, Michigan. Jerry was a member of the Los Rios Country Club and volunteered with the Plano Police Department. Jerry loved spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, watching the Texas Rangers and IU sporting events, Notre Dame and Dallas Cowboys football, running, and playing softball. He started his career in South Bend at The Associates and Clark Equipment. US Leasing brought Jerry and his family to Plano, Texas in the late 1970’s.

Jerry is survived by his family in Texas: wife Marylinn Kaylor Chapman and children Jamie’ Roberge (Jeff), James Chapman (Michelle) and grandchildren; Madison Chapman, Zachary Munjas, Claire Roberge and McKinley Chapman. Jerry is also survived by his siblings; Donna Chapman Ernsberger (Bud), Carol Chapman, Linda Chapman, and Dick Chapman.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Violet (Klingerman) Chapman and Father Carroll “Dub” Chapman. There will be an intimate Celebration of Life for the family and close friends on April 6, 2024 in Allen, Texas.
