Dennis Albert Woodcox

SOUTH BEND -- Dennis A. Woodcox, 63, of West Cleveland Road, died Saturday, February 26, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Denny was born on June 7, 1941, in South Bend. He graduated from Riley High School in 1960 and graduated from Chicago Technical College.

On Nov. 17, 1961, in Faith United Methodist Church, South Bend, he married Jan Megyese, who survives. Along with his wife of 43 years, he is survived by a daughter, Sheila (Dan) Hall of South Bend; a son, Mark (Kathy) Woodcox of South Bend; four grandchildren; his mother, Emogene Woodcox of South Bend; and two sisters, Suellen (Bob) Springer and Gretchen (Larry) Berry, both of South Bend.

Denny was a self-employed contractor for 35 years, as Denny the Builder. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and especially spending time with his family. Denny was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
