September 22, 1945 ~ February 19, 2025
Marsha Lynne Marshall, 79, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away of natural causes in her home on Wednesday, February 19th. Marsha was born September 22, 1945, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Helen (Koester) Rea and George Perkins. The love she had for her family and friends was only surpassed by her love of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Marsha was raised in South Bend and graduated from Riley High School in 1963. She then went on to Western Michigan University to earn her degree in childhood education in 1967.
Marsha met and married the love of her life, John Marshall in 1974. She attended the Gemological Institute of America to earn her gemologist’s degree and worked with John in the family business. For the last several years, she taught with the South Bend GED Program. Marsha loved her coworkers and students. She was also active on the Riley High School reunion committee. Marsha’s love for the Lord reflected in all the ministries she participated in at church and the many friendships she made through Bible Study Fellowship. A highlight of her life was traveling to the Holy Land with her church in 2012 and to Oberammergau with friends to see the Passion Play.
Marsha is survived by her husband, John Marshall; children; Cynthia Marshall of Huntington, IN, Jonna (Roger) Brandt of Batavia, IL, John Marshall II of Sarasota, FL, and Donald (Loren) Marshall of Oxford, AL; grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Lily, Taylor, Michael, Morgan, Christian, Rebecca, Charlotte and Eleanor and great grandchildren Vyktoriah and Zoi-Yzabel; brothers James (Priscilla) Perkins of Charlotte, NC, Daniel (Jacqueline) Perkins of Fort Myers, FL and Kenneth Perkins of Rockhill, SC.
