Patricia J. (Regan) Schultheis

April 5, 1928 – Dec. 29, 2006

SOUTH BEND — Patricia J. Schultheis, 78, of South Bend, went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 29. Patty was born April 6, 1928, to Arthur V.and Marguerite (Carroll) Regan in Dayton, OH.

She was the youngest of seven children, Mary Frances, Anne, Thomas, M.Carroll, Arthur and Kathleen (all of whom have preceded her in death).The Regan family relocated to South Bend, where Patty spent most of her upbringing and she graduated from Riley High School.

On September 3, 1949, Patty married William W. Yoder, who preceded her in death September 26, 1973.

She is survived by their four children, William (Peggy) Yoder, Nancy (Steven) Haubenschild, Margaret (George) Polk, and Kathleen Yoder;13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. One granddaughter preceded her in death. Patty is also survived by five stepchildren and seven step-grandchildren.

On January 11, 1997, in Notre Dame, IN, Patty married Don (Skip) Schultheis of South Bend in the Log Chapel at the University of Notre Dame.

Patty spent most of her life serving others.She most recently served as a volunteer at South Bend Memorial Hospital. Patty’s life will be celebrated January 5, 2007, in St.Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.Visitation will be held in the church from 2 to 4 p.m.followed by a funeral Mass. A private burial will be held. A memorial Mass for Patty will be celebrated here in South Bend on Thursday, Jan 11, at 11 a.m.in the Log Chapel on the Campus of the University of Notre Dame. Local arrangements are being handled by the McGann Hay, University Chapel.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers maybe given to Memorial Hospital, South Bend or Charities of the University of Notre Dame
