Jonathan R. Clay passed away Thursday, August 25 at Center for Hospice, South Bend. He was 58 years old.
Jonathan was born in South Bend, IN on May 18, 1958 to the late Richard H. and Geveva Braylock Clay.
He was a very kind hearted man who loved his family, his music (kept crates of records), loved to dance and cook.
He was a Riley High School graduate.
Besides his parents, Jonathan was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Clay, Jr., siblings, Thomas Lee Clay, Richard H. Clay and Gwendolyn Clay.
Surviving to cherish his memory are brothers, Jerry, Donald and Dale (Selena) Clay of South Bend, sisters, Sheila Clay of Carbondale, IL and Vanessa Clay of South Bend along with a very special friend, Lauraetta Greer, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Jonathan "Waterman" is 12:00 noon Wednesday, August 31 at Cobb Funeral Home, 3525 S. Michigan St. with visitation one hour before the service.
