Joseph Paul VanGoey

Joseph Paul VanGoey, age 85, of South Bend, passed away Saturday evening at Briarcliff Health in South Bend. Joseph was a jeweler most of his life. He enjoyed repairing and making jewelry. He was born on June 13, 1935 in Mishawaka to the late Theophil and Marie (Neland) VanGoey and lived in this area all of his life.

He is survived by two sons, Christopher Allan VanGoey of South Bend and Channing VanGoey or Denver, CO, four grandchildren, Ellis, Asher, and Avery VanGoey and Kelsey Salazar, and one sister, Cecelia Neland of South Carolina.

Joseph was a 1953 graduate of Riley High School and attended Butler University, Indianapolis, IN.

There will not be any services at this time. Palmer Funeral Homes are handling funeral arrangements for the family.
