Jerry Dean Alvord

Jerry Dean Alvord, a resident of Daphne Alabama, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the age of 85.

Jerry was born January 31, 1939, in South Bend Indiana. He served in the United States Air Force, had a brief law enforcement career, and retired from AT&T. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and being in the outdoors.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Nita Alvord; his children, Jan (David) Mann of Spanish Fort AL and John (Jan) Alvord of Cumming Georgia; grandchildren, Haley Sykes, Lauren Henderson, Zach Alvord and Chase Alvord; great-grandchildren, Savannah Sykes, Stetson Sykes, Ridge Alvord, Saylor Alvord and Aniston Alvord; and one sister, Carole Phipps.

A memorial service will be held at Frazer Church, 6000 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery AL, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 2PM. The family would appreciate it if you would stay and attend a brief service after the visitation beginning at 3PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Shepherd's Place Foundation, P.O. Box 1281, Fairhope AL 36533.
