 SOUTH BEND - Diane Pamachena Smith, 59, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011, in her residence.

 Diane was born on May 18, 1952, in South Bend, to Orish and Mary (Zaklan) Pamachena. She was employed by Comfort Keepers, the Notre Dame Bookstore, and the South Bend Medical Foundation.

 Surviving are a daughter, Heather A. Smith of South Bend; a son, Christopher M. Smith of South Bend; a grandson, Grant Powell; two sisters, Jeanette Pamachena and Patricia Pamachena, both of South Bend; and a brother, Donald (Jennifer) Pamachena of Brownsburg, IN; her former husband, Eric Smith of South Bend; 2 nephews, David Wegnerowski and Gregory Pamachena; and a niece, Aubrey Helms. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Milan Pamachena.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 am Tuesday, November 15, 2011, in Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call 2 hours prior to services in the church. Zahoran Funeral Home is handling the services.
