GRANGER - Ralph DeWain Jordan, 74, passed away early Thursday in his residence.

Ralph was born in Ashland, OH to the late Ernest and Ester (Adang) Jordan. Ralph retired in 2001 as a Union Electrician and Past President of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local #153. On August 20, 1966 in South Bend, he married Rosemary Louise (Gallagher) Jordan who survives him in Granger.

Along with his wife Rosemary, Ralph is survived by a daughter, Jody (David) Rhodes of South Bend; three sons, Jeff (Vicki) Jordan of Houston, TX, Paul (Jenny) Jordan of Fishers, IN and Andy (Laura) Jordan of Granger; three sisters, Virginia Kemp of Reynoldsburg, OH, Joyce (Bob) Morrison of Montrose, CO and Loretta Boncea of Bayard, NM and a brother, Bob Jordan of Seagoville, TX; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his K9 companion Jake. He was predeceased by three brothers, Ernie (Joann) Jordan of South Bend, Walt Jordan and Ed (Jo Ann) Jordan of Osceola.

Ralph was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he coached sports teams, the Granger Knights of Columbus Fr. Baden Council #4263, he was one of the founders of Harris Baseball/Softball, coached at Northside Little League and was an avid fisherman and loved camping in the outdoors. Ralph was an Artist and enjoyed painting and woodworking. He lived life to the fullest often saying he got 25 hours out of everyday. He especially loved his grandchildren.

Friends may call Monday from 3-5 & 6-8 p.m. in the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23 (enter off Cherry Rd.) where there will be a parish Vigil Service at 4:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. and calling from 9-9:45 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church (Fir & SR23). Cremation will follow at American Cremation Society.
