Donald Leon Kollar Jr.

Donald L. Kollar Jr., 66, residing on Fairington Circle, South Bend, Ind., passed away at noon on Thursday, Oct. 16, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Ind.

He was born Jan. 30, 1937, in South Bend, and had remained a lifelong resident of this community.

On June 13, 1970, in Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, South Bend, he married Doris Ruth Duggan. She passed away on March 27, 1998.

Donald is survived by a sister, Dorothy J. (LeRoy) Tryon of Hasting, Mich.; two nieces, Alice Gunn Hale of Pikeville, Tenn., and June Gunn Toth of Nokesville, Va.; and by two nephews, Donald Paul Gunn of Plainfield, Ind., and Robert J. Gunn of Buchanan, Mich.

Donald was a lifelong member of First Brethren Church of South Bend, and retired in May 1999 from Mangum Security Company, where he served as a security guard.

Services for Mr. Kollar will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. Rev. Larry R. Baker will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel.
