Rodney B. Lambert

Rodney B. Lambert

November 7, 1965 ~ April 4, 2026 (age 60)

Rodney B. Lambert, 60 years old, passed away at 12:35 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the Ernestine M. Raclin House, Mishawaka from complications with Pancreatic Cancer.  Rodney was born on November 7, 1965, in South Bend to the late Charles A. and Pauline J. (Jackey) Lambert.  He has remained a lifelong resident of South Bend.

Rodney graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School in 1984. He was a proud member of the respected Riley swim team. Rodney was a skilled journeyman electrician right out of high school. He enjoyed life by creating lasting memories with family and friends on fishing trips to Canada, snowmobile trips in Michigan, and attending social events at The Green Star Cafe, where he loved providing for others through his grilling talents.

Rodney was best known by his family as “Uncle Rod”. Uncle Rod loved all his nieces and nephews dearly. One unique way he showed it was by making personalized Christmas gifts from the heart. Rodney always put others before himself. There was really nothing Rodney couldn't make, build, or fix. He always helped his family and friends when they needed it with little expected in return.

Rodney is survived by his sister, Paula “Suzie” (Scott) Kresca and their children, Brandon (Emily) Kresca, Blake (Ellen) Kresca, and Brooke (Jeremiah) Burke; brother, Ryan (Gretchen) Lambert and their children, Madison (Hunter) Schuman and Jackson Lambert; and five great nieces and nephews, Harriet, Nora, Nolan, and Wilson Kresca, and Harper Schuman.  Rodney is also survived by his Uncle Terry (the late Susan) Munger and his family, Carla (Troy) Gurtner and Dana (Ryan) Hamilton; Uncle Bert Jackey; and many cousins, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend.  Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rodney B. Lambert may be donated to Ernestine M. Raclin House, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.  Online condolences may be offered to Rodney’s family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
