Dean A. Tetzlaff

Dean A. Tetzlaff, 77, of South Bend, IN passed away at 9:44 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 19, 1937 in South Bend, IN to the late Elmer and Geraldine (Smith) Tetzlaff. On October 7, 1961 in Plymouth, IN he was united in marriage to the former Shirley G. Howard.

Dean is survived by his wife, Shirley G. Tetzlaff; daughter, Stacey (John) Valentine of Ormond Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Melissa (Timothy) Bemiller of Jackson, TN, Paul R. Siddall III of Plymouth, IN, Michael A. Siddall of Plymouth, IN, Mariah Ranegan of Bristol, TN and Kara Valentine of Ormond Beach, FL, sister, Francis "Jo" Crofoot of Orlando, FL and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Michele "Shelly" D. Siddall.

Dean was a lifelong resident. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was employed by Associates for over forty years. He was a member of the Lakeville Masonic Lodge #353, F & AM, a former member of Avalon Grotto, and was proud to be a member of the Cobras. His favorite pastimes were fishing locally and in Canada, golfing, feeding squirrels and meeting with his coffee buddies. He enjoyed spending afternoons working at his farm, taking walks through the woods and playing with the dogs and cats.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home where a Masonic service will be held at 8:00 p.m.
