Marian M. (Bloch) Fox
March 25, 1930 - June 7, 2000
Marian M. Fox, 70, devoted wife, mother and grandmother who resided on Staffordshire Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 2:03 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
She was born on March 25, 1930, to the late Adolph and Clara M. (Misbach) Bloch in South Bend, and had remained a lifelong resident. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene A. Bloch; and by a nephew, Michael S. Bloch.
On May 11, 1957, as Marian M. Bloch, she married James L. Fox in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, South Bend. He survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Diane M. Fox of South Bend and Karen L. (Ted) Tompkins of South Bend; a granddaughter whom she adored, Nicole M. Tompkins at home; and by a nephew, Jeffrey A. (Stefani) Bloch of San Jose, Calif.
Mrs. Fox was a member of Christ the King Parish for 41 years and, in 1976, she founded the Volunteers for Healthwin Hospital Sunday Mass Program.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today, June 9, in the KANIEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
