Ruth E. (Hannan) Santerre

Services for Ruth E. Santerre, 65, of Ewing Ave. who died at 10:12 A.M. Wednesday in her home after an illness, will be at 11 A.M. Saturday in St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

Mrs. Santerre was employed by the South Bend Community School Corp. in food service at Adams High School for 15 years. She was born May 6, 1929, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On August 26, 1950, in South Bend, as Ruth Hannan, she married Lucien Albert Santerre. He died February 8, 1994.

She is survived by five daughters, Terri Santerre McDowell of Cincinnati, Colleen Santerre DiPiro of Elkhart, Pauline Santerre Beutel of South Bend, Jan Santerre Tenneriello of Brookings, SD, and Dee Dee Santerre Sudarshan of Baton Rouge, LA; six sons, Bob of Cincinnati, Tom of Adrian, MI, Bernie of Aurora, IL, Paul of Albuquerque, NM, Don of Elkhart, and Rick of Indianapolis, 26 grandchildren, and three sisters, Jane Englert of Louisville, KY, Marian Middendorf of Bethany Beach, DE, and Kathryn Milkey of Jacksonville, FL.
